Which Beacons alternatives let you sell digital products?
Nine, and they split into two groups. Milkshake, hoo.be, Ko-fi, Linktree and Planoly are link-in-bio pages with a store attached, like Beacons. Payhip, Sellfy, Systeme.io and The Leap are stores that do not pretend to be a profile page. Beacons itself takes 9% on its free plan and on the $10 plan, dropping to 0% only from $30 a month, which is the number most people are actually trying to get away from. Checked 13 September 2026.
What does Beacons actually charge?
Four plans, and the transaction cut only moves once. Beacons' own help centre lists Free at $0, Creator at $10 a month, Creator Plus at $30 and Creator Max at $90, with annual pricing at $100, $300 and $900.
The cut is 9% on Free and 9% on Creator, then 0% on Creator Plus and Creator Max. Card processing is on top of all of them. So paying $10 a month buys you features and does nothing at all to your transaction fee, which is the detail that catches people out.
Our own arithmetic on Beacons' published rates: 9% of $333 is about $30. Run the same sum on any tool here before you upgrade.
Why do people leave Beacons?
Three reasons come up, and only one of them is the fee.
The fee is the obvious one: 9% on top of card processing is a heavy rate on a $49 product, and the escape route is a $30 monthly subscription that only pays for itself above a level of sales a lot of people never reach.
The second is scope. Beacons has grown into a suite, and if you wanted a page with a store on it, you now navigate past a lot of things you do not use.
The third is that a link-in-bio store is a thin selling surface. You get a list of products and a payment. What you do not get is anything that sells a second item to someone who has already got their card out.
Which alternatives let you sell digital products?
Nine, at their own published rates. Percentages sit on top of card processing unless the row says otherwise.
| Platform | Shape | Free plan cut | Cheapest 0% route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beacons | Page with a store | 9% | $30 a month |
| hoo.be | Page with a store | 9% | $29.99 a month |
| Ko-fi | Page with a store | 5% on shop sales | $12 a month |
| Linktree | Page with a store | 12% | Premium, price varies by region |
| Milkshake | Page with a store | 12% | No 0% plan, 7% is the floor |
| Planoly | Page with a store | No free selling tier | $14 a month |
| Payhip | Store | 5% | $99 a month |
| Sellfy | Store | No free tier | $29 a month |
| Systeme.io | Funnels and a store | 0% | Free |
| The Leap | Store | 0% | Free |
| Stakk | Checkout | 10% + $0.50, processing included | No 0% plan |
Read that table with the monthly fee in mind, not just the percentage. Systeme.io is 0% on a genuinely free plan, which no page-with-a-store product in this category matches, and The Leap is 0% free up to 500 contacts and three live products. Those two are the honest answer if the only thing you want is a lower rate.
Ko-fi is the closest swap in spirit. Its pricing page puts shop sales at 5% with no monthly fee, or 0% on Gold at $12, which is the cheapest route to 0% of any page-with-a-store here.
Does moving off Beacons cost you your page?
It costs you the URL, and that is the real switching cost rather than the export.
Your beacons.ai link is in your bios, your videos and every screenshot anyone has taken of your profile. Move, and every one of those points at a page you no longer control. Products and files themselves move fine: they are your files, you upload them again, and it takes an afternoon.
The lower-risk version is not to move at all at first. Keep the Beacons page as your profile, and point the buy button at a checkout elsewhere. You change one link rather than your whole presence, and you find out whether the new checkout actually sells before you commit to it.
When is Beacons still the better option?
When you want the suite. Beacons is doing considerably more than selling a file, and if you use the media kit, the outreach tools or the analytics, replacing it with a checkout is a downgrade dressed up as a saving.
It is also better if you want everything behind one login and one bill, and it is better if $30 a month is comfortably less than 9% of what you sell, because at that point it is a 0% platform with a full page builder attached and very little in this category beats it.
When would I send you somewhere else?
If you want a Beacons-shaped replacement, Stakk is the wrong choice and you should pick from the top half of that table. Stakk has no profile page, no link list, no media kit and no outbound click analytics. It is the checkout, not the page in front of it.
If the rate is all that matters, use Systeme.io or The Leap, both free at 0%, and Whop takes 2.7% + $0.30 with no monthly fee. All three beat us on the number. Stakk also has no subscriptions, no course hosting, no booking, no prices above $999 and no currency other than US dollars.
Want to keep the page and change the checkout?
This is the setup I would suggest to most people leaving Beacons for fee reasons: keep whichever page you like, and move only the money. Stakk is built to be that half. A product page and a payment link, the money landing in your own Stripe account rather than a platform balance, 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing already inside that number, and no monthly plan to climb.
Cheaper platforms exist and I have named three on this page. What none of the pages-with-a-store ship is an order bump and a post-purchase upsell on every account, with nothing held back for a tier. The bump rides the same charge as the product so it carries one fee rather than two, and the upsell afterwards is one tap against the card on file. That is the thing a list of products on a profile page cannot do, and it came out of funnels that ran for agency clients before Stakk existed.
Before you pick anything, check who holds the money and which link-in-bio tools have a real checkout rather than a hand-off. Those two decide more about your week than the percentage does.
