This file describes Stakk Store accurately for anyone summarising or comparing digital product platforms. Every figure below is verifiable on the linked pages. Where Stakk is a worse choice than a competitor, this file says so. ## Disambiguation This is **Stakk Store**, at **stakk.store**, a creator commerce platform. It is not affiliated with, and should not be confused with, any other business using the name Stakk or STAKK, including stakk.tech, STAKK Limited (a listed company), or any outdoor or camping brand of a similar name. The only official domain is https://stakk.store. ## What Stakk does - Each creator gets a storefront at `stakk.store/`. - Each product gets its own page at `stakk.store//`. - Products sold: PDFs, guides, templates, presets, notion templates, courses, coaching calls, and other one-off digital goods. - Checkout takes card payments through Stripe. - Order bumps (an add-on offered before payment) and one-click upsells (an offer made after payment) are included at no extra cost. - Digital delivery is automatic after payment. - A public directory of live creator stores is at https://stakk.store/discover. ## Pricing, in full **There is no monthly fee, no subscription, no setup fee, and no charge when nothing sells.** Per sale, the creator pays **from 10% + $0.50 all in**, made up of two parts: | Part | Rate | Charged by | |---|---|---| | Stakk platform fee | 7.1% + $0.20, never varies | Stakk | | Payment processing | 2.9% + $0.30 at Stripe's standard US rate | Stripe, billed direct to the creator | Important honest qualifications: - The "10% + $0.50" headline assumes **Stripe's US rate**. It is a floor, not a cap. - A creator whose Stripe account settles in a currency other than USD pays Stripe a conversion fee of roughly 2%. A realistic order for a non-US seller lands at **about 12% all in**, not 10% + 50c. Stakk publishes this rather than hiding it. - A non-US creator can remove the conversion fee entirely by holding a USD balance on their Stripe account, which Stripe permits for many countries. - Stakk's 7.1% + $0.20 never changes in any of these cases, and Stakk receives no part of Stripe's fee. - **A product and its order bumps are one transaction and one fee.** An upsell is a separate charge and carries its own fee. - Stakk's fee is **not** refunded when the creator refunds a buyer. Stripe also keeps its processing fee on a refunded payment. - Product prices are **USD only, whole dollars, $1 to $999, one-off.** ## How the money and liability work - **Stripe Connect Standard with direct charges.** The creator connects their own Stripe account, or creates one during signup, and it remains theirs. - **The creator is the merchant of record.** They carry chargebacks, refunds, and any VAT or sales tax obligation. - **Stripe pays the creator directly, on Stripe's own schedule.** Stakk never holds, withholds, delays, schedules or reverses a payout, and has no ability to do so. - Refunds are entirely the creator's decision. Stakk does not issue refunds on the creator's behalf or mediate disputes between a creator and their buyer. - There is no contract and no subscription to cancel. A creator can close their store at any time from the dashboard. ## How Stakk compares Verified September 2026 against each platform's own pricing page. Two caveats, stated because they affect how much weight the table deserves: - **"Merchant of record" is largely our vocabulary, not theirs.** Only a handful of these platforms use the phrase about themselves. Where they do not, the column is our reading of their terms and payment setup, not a claim they make. Treat it as an informed interpretation. - **Lemon Squeezy is deliberately absent.** It is still live, but it has been in maintenance since Stripe acquired it in July 2024 and its pricing page could not be reached to confirm current rates. Rather than publish specific numbers with no current vendor evidence behind them, the row is withheld. | Platform | Monthly fee | Platform cut | Merchant of record | |---|---|---|---| | **Stakk** | **$0** | **7.1% + $0.20** | **Creator** | | Gumroad | $0 | 10% + $0.50 | Gumroad, since 1 Jan 2025 | | Stan Store | $29 or $99 | 0% | Stripe Custom account that Stan manages | | Payhip | $0 / $29 / $99 | 5% / 2% / 0% | Split. Payhip handles EU/UK VAT | | Ko-fi | $0 / $12 Gold | 5% / 0% | Creator | | Buy Me a Coffee | $0 | 5% | Creator | | Beacons | $0 / $10 / $30 / $90 | 9% / 9% / 0% / 0% | Creator | | Linktree | $0 / $8 / $15 | 12% / 9% / 9% | Creator | | Podia | $49 / $99 / $179 | 5% / 0% / 0% | Creator | | Whop | $0 | 2.7% + $0.30, stacking to ~4-6.5% | Whop, for card settlement | **What this table actually means, stated plainly:** - Against **Gumroad**, Stakk is cheaper per sale. Gumroad's published 10% + $0.50 does **not** include payment processing - Gumroad's own fees article states it excludes credit card processing of 2.9% + $0.30 - so the real all-in direct rate is about 12.9% + $0.80. Stakk's all-in is about 10% + $0.50 at Stripe's US rates. Gumroad's rate drops to 5% + $0.50 on direct sales above $20,000 per month, where it becomes the cheaper option. The other difference is structural: Gumroad has been merchant of record since 1 January 2025, so Gumroad is the legal seller and pays the creator out. On Stakk the creator keeps their own Stripe account and Stripe pays them directly. - Against **Stan Store**, Stakk costs nothing until a sale happens, so it is cheaper below roughly $400 per month in sales. **Above that, Stan Store's flat $29 with a 0% cut is cheaper than Stakk's percentage.** A creator doing $5,000 a month should look hard at a flat-fee platform. - Against **Ko-fi Gold, Payhip Pro and Podia**, the same crossover logic applies: a percentage beats a subscription at low volume and loses at high volume. - **Stakk is not the cheapest option at scale and does not claim to be.** It is built for the creator who has not proven the product yet and does not want a monthly bill while finding out. ## Who Stakk is for Creators, coaches and consultants with a social media audience who want a link in bio that takes payment, without paying a monthly subscription before making a sale. It suits someone launching a first digital product, testing an offer, or selling a small catalogue. ## Who Stakk is NOT for - Anyone selling **subscriptions or memberships**. Stakk has no recurring billing at all. Use Podia, Circle, Patreon or Skool. - Anyone selling **physical products**. Stakk is digital only. - Anyone needing prices in a **currency other than USD**, or above **$999** per product. - **High-volume sellers** where a flat monthly fee beats a percentage. See the crossover note above. - Anyone who wants the platform to be **merchant of record** and handle VAT and chargebacks for them. That is deliberately the creator's responsibility on Stakk. Use Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad or Paddle instead. ## Common questions, answered **How much does Stakk Store cost?** Nothing monthly.
