SamCart vs ClickFunnels: which should you use?

Nathan Field Nathan Field·Founder, Stakk · 31 October 2026 · 7 min read

Pick ClickFunnels if you want your pages, email, courses and checkout in one account. Pick SamCart if you mostly need a checkout and sales pages. SamCart costs $79 or $199 a month, and only the $199 Pro plan has order bumps and one-click upsells. ClickFunnels costs $97, $197 or $297 a month. Its help pages describe both features but do not say which plan gets them. Neither takes a cut of your sales, and both list card processing at 2.9% + $0.30 on their own payment tool. Checked 26 October 2026.

Both let you sell digital products from pages you build, and both let you add an offer to the checkout. The real gap is what each plan includes, and what you pay to get an order bump and an upsell.

Is SamCart or ClickFunnels better?

Neither wins outright, because they are built for different jobs. ClickFunnels is better if you want the whole funnel in one place. SamCart is better if you want a checkout and sales pages, with an AI assistant to help build them.

ClickFunnels' Launch plan comes with unlimited funnels and pages, email to up to 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month, three courses, appointments, five custom domains, one store and AI tools capped at 1 million words. Its FAQ says it hosts your digital content on every plan. You can read more about what ClickFunnels is and how it works.

SamCart's Core plan has unlimited pages, products and checkouts, a courses app with a members area, cart abandonment and one team seat. It also has an AI assistant called Sam that writes sales copy and designs pages. SamCart hosts your download file too, and the buyer gets it right after they pay.

So ClickFunnels sells you more of the business for one monthly bill. SamCart sells you the checkout, and keeps its best checkout tools for its top public plan.

What do SamCart and ClickFunnels cost?

SamCart is $79 or $199 a month. ClickFunnels is $97, $197 or $297 a month, plus a $5,997 plan that is billed yearly only. Every plan on both is paid, and each gives a free trial.

ClickFunnels Scale$197$1,970 a yearNot listed by plan

SamCart Core$7925% offNeither
SamCart Pro$19925% offBoth
Stakk$0No planBoth, on every account

The ClickFunnels pricing page shows the yearly plans as $81, $164 and $248 a month, which saves $194, $394 and $594 a year. It gives a 14-day free trial, and its FAQ adds a 30-day money-back guarantee after the trial ends. Its help center says the unlimited funnels on every plan are offered for a limited period. There is a plan-by-plan breakdown of what ClickFunnels costs.

SamCart's pricing page takes 25% off either plan if you pay yearly, and gives a 7-day free trial. A Done For You plan has custom pricing, and live support is a $19 a month add-on. So the cheapest way in costs $18 a month more on ClickFunnels than on SamCart.

What does each take per sale?

Neither takes a cut for itself. On both, what a sale costs you is card processing, plus a small charge if you use their tax tool.

ClickFunnels' FAQ answers the question of a cut with "No. You'll keep every penny you make." Its payment app, Payments AI, is "Included for free in every plan". The help page for Payments AI lists a standard base fee of 2.9% + $0.30, and a "Billing/Tax/Invoicing++" option at 0.5%.

SamCart's terms say it "does not charge a percentage of your revenue". SamPay, its own processor, is 2.9% + 30c on both plans, with "No added fees on SamPay". Tax collection is 0.5% on Core and 0.35% on Pro, and SamCart does not say what that is charged on, so ask before you count it.

$1.75
Card processing on a $50 sale on either platform, at the standard rate each one lists: 2.9% + $0.30.

Our own arithmetic on the rates SamCart lists for SamPay and ClickFunnels lists for Payments AI. It leaves out the optional tax tools.

So per sale they are even, and the monthly fee is the real price gap. Stakk works the other way round: no monthly fee, and 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included. That is $5.50 on the same $50 sale, so we take more per sale than either.

Which plan gets order bumps and one-click upsells?

On SamCart, Pro at $199 a month. The Pro card lists "1-Click Upsells + Order Bumps", and Core has neither. On ClickFunnels, I could not tie either one to a plan.

ClickFunnels' help center describes both. Its checkout has an Order Bump part that adds extra products inside the checkout. Its one-click upsell guide says a One-Time Offer is "shown to customers immediately after they complete a purchase". With the ClickFunnels checkout, "Customers are not required to re-enter their payment details." The same guide lists a Payments AI account as a requirement.

Neither article names a plan, and the pricing page does not list order bumps or upsells by name. The help center lists "Conversion Boosters" on Scale and up, and does not say what they are. The articles also do not say how many bumps one checkout can hold.

So if the bump and the upsell are why you are buying, ask ClickFunnels during the 14-day trial whether Launch has them before you count on it. I would rather tell you that than guess.

How do you get paid on each?

Both run payments through their own payment tool, and both let you bring other processors.

SamCart's default is SamPay, which is "powered by Stripe". Its terms say SamCart creates a Stripe account for you that is "connected to the SamCart platform", and that SamCart may access it to collect fees, process refunds and handle disputes. Payouts can run daily, weekly or monthly, or by hand, and SamPay also offers instant payouts. Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, Authorize.net and Easy Pay Direct also work, though the pricing page lists third-party processors as a Pro feature.

ClickFunnels' Payments AI guide calls it "a multi-gateway payment solution". It has its own gateway and connects to Stripe, PayPal, NMI, Coinbase and Klarna, though Coinbase and Klarna do not work with the ClickFunnels checkout. Stripe runs through Payments AI using your own verified Stripe account. A direct Stripe connection without Payments AI is "available on request" from support, but remember the upsell guide lists Payments AI as a requirement. Neither help page says when payouts reach your bank, so I am not going to guess.

On Stakk, each sale goes straight into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays your bank on the schedule you set. We never hold the money.

Which should you pick?

Pick ClickFunnels if you will use most of the box. Launch at $97 a month gives you pages, email to 10,000 contacts, three courses and appointments in one login. It suits someone who would otherwise pay for an email tool, a course host and a page builder on their own. The 14-day trial and the 30-day money-back guarantee give you time to check the bump and the upsell on your plan.

Pick SamCart if you mostly need the checkout. Core at $79 is the cheaper way in, and its AI assistant helps write the copy and build the pages. But Core has no order bump and no one-click upsell. For those you are on Pro at $199, which also brings A/B testing, an affiliate center and 10 team seats. That bundle can make sense for a team running paid traffic.

If the bump and the upsell are all you want, neither is the cheap route. ThriveCart lists one order bump and one-click upsells on its $47 Standard plan, which our ThriveCart vs SamCart comparison covers.

When would I send you somewhere else?

If you need subscriptions, courses, email, a funnel builder, affiliates or A/B testing, Stakk is the wrong choice, and either of these will serve you better. Stakk has none of those, sells in US dollars only and caps prices at $999. It also stores no files: you paste a link to wherever the file lives, and Stakk emails it to the buyer after they pay. And if cost per sale decides it, use Systeme.io or Whop instead. Systeme.io's free plan has no transaction fees and one order bump and one one-click upsell, up to $10,000 in lifetime sales. Whop charges 2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card with no monthly cost. Both take less per sale than our 10% + $0.50, and at high enough sales a flat monthly plan beats any percentage. Our list of SamCart alternatives has more options.

What Stakk does differently is the checkout. The order bump rides the same charge as the product, so it carries one fee rather than two. The upsell after payment is one tap against the card the buyer just used. It is a second charge, so our fee applies to it again. Both are on every account with no plan to move up to, which fewer platforms do than you might expect. The layout came out of funnels that ran for agency clients before Stakk existed.

Want a bump and an upsell without a monthly plan?

On Stakk, both come with the free account everyone gets. There is no monthly fee and no plan to buy, so a month with no sales costs you nothing. We take 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, and each sale lands in your own Stripe account rather than a balance we hold.
