Kajabi vs ClickFunnels: which should you use?
Kajabi is the better pick if you sell what you know, such as courses, coaching and a community, and want it all on one site, from $179 a month. ClickFunnels is the better pick if you sell through sales funnels and want a bigger email list for less money, from $97 a month. Neither takes a cut of your sales. Card processing is 2.9% + $0.30 on Kajabi's cheapest plan and on ClickFunnels' own processor. Both have order bumps and upsells after checkout, and neither help center ties them to a plan. Checked 26 October 2026.
They overlap more than their reputations suggest. Kajabi has funnels, and ClickFunnels has courses. What differs is which one each is built around, and how much of it each plan lets you have.
Is Kajabi or ClickFunnels better?
Neither is better for everyone. Kajabi is a platform for experts who sell courses, coaching, communities and memberships, with email and funnels built in. ClickFunnels is a funnel builder first, with courses capped by plan. Here they are side by side on their cheapest plans.

Kajabi is $179, $249 or $499 a month. ClickFunnels is $97, $197 or $297 a month, plus a $5,997 plan sold yearly only. Both take money off for paying yearly.

| ClickFunnels Dominate | Yearly only | $5,997 a year | 400,000 | 2.9% + $0.30 |
Our own arithmetic on both vendors' published monthly prices. Billed yearly, Kajabi Basic is $143 a month and ClickFunnels Launch is $81 a month, a $62 gap.
The prices come from Kajabi's pricing page and ClickFunnels' pricing page. Kajabi has no free plan, and its page shows a free trial button on each plan without saying how long the trial runs. Extra Kajabi contacts come in blocks of 25,000 for $125 a month. For one side in full detail, see what Kajabi costs or what ClickFunnels costs.
What does each take per sale?
Only card processing. Kajabi's FAQ says it "does not take a revenue share as a platform", and ClickFunnels' pricing page answers the same question with "No. You'll keep every penny you make."
Kajabi's own processor, Kajabi Payments, charges US businesses 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Use a different payment provider and Kajabi adds its own fee on top: 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. Its page says that fee does not apply to PayPal.
ClickFunnels runs payments through Payments AI. Its Payments AI help article lists a standard base fee of 2.9% + $0.30 and says ClickFunnels "charges no additional fees beyond the standard processor rates". You can connect Stripe through Payments AI, or ask support for a direct Stripe connection. The same article also lists 0.5% for billing, tax and invoicing, without saying which sales it applies to, so ask ClickFunnels before you count it.
On a $50 sale by US card, Kajabi Basic and ClickFunnels both come to $1.75 in processing, and Kajabi Pro to $1.65. Per sale they are close to even, so the monthly fee is the real price gap. Stakk is 10% + $0.50 with card processing included, which is $5.50 on the same sale.
Which has order bumps and one-click upsells?
Both have order bumps and upsells after checkout. ClickFunnels says plainly that buyers do not type their card again for an upsell. Kajabi charges the same payment method but does not say what the buyer has to do.
Kajabi's order bump article says "Order bumps are available on all offers", up to six per offer with its Enhanced Checkout. Its pop-up checkout allows one. One-time items in the checkout are grouped into a single transaction, so the bump rides the same charge as the product. Upsells show "immediately after checkout", and an accepted one is "processed as a separate transaction from the original purchase, using the same payment method".
On ClickFunnels you tick "Product is an order bump" on a product in the checkout page, and a bump cannot be sold on its own. Its one-time offer page is "shown to customers immediately after they complete a purchase", and its help article says "Customers are not required to re-enter their payment details". The upsell needs a Payments AI account.
Neither help center names a plan for bumps or upsells. ClickFunnels does list "Conversion Boosters" from the $197 Scale plan up without saying what they are, so if bumps are the reason you are buying, ask whether Launch has everything you need. If a checkout with bumps and upsells is all you want, not a whole platform, ThriveCart and SamCart are built around exactly that.
Which suits courses and which suits funnels?
Kajabi suits courses and the things around them. ClickFunnels suits funnels.
Kajabi sells courses, coaching, communities, memberships, newsletters, podcasts and digital downloads from one site. The catch is the product cap: Basic allows 5 products and one community, Growth 50 products, and Pro unlimited products with three communities. Funnels, landing pages and marketing emails are unlimited on every plan, so you are paying for the size of your catalog and your list, not for pages.
ClickFunnels gives every plan unlimited funnels, which its help page labels as a time-limited offer. Courses are capped: 3 on Launch, 6 on Scale, 10 on Optimize and 20 on Dominate. What grows with the plan is everything a team running ads needs: workspaces (1, 5, 10, 20), team members (2, 5, 10, 20), contacts and emails a month. An affiliate center starts on Optimize.
So a seller with one flagship course and lots of funnels fits ClickFunnels' $97 plan. A seller with several courses, coaching and a community outgrows ClickFunnels' course cap and fits Kajabi better.
Which should you pick?
Pick Kajabi if teaching is the business. Courses, coaching, a community and email all live on one site, and card processing gets cheaper as you move up a plan. It suits an expert with a catalog to sell and a list to email, where $179 a month is a fair price for one login instead of five tools.
Pick ClickFunnels if funnels are the business. You get 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month on the $97 plan, $82 a month less than Kajabi's cheapest, and more workspaces and seats as you grow. It suits a business sending paid traffic to sales pages, where the funnel matters more than the course library.
When would I send you somewhere else?
If you need to host courses, send email campaigns or bill subscriptions, Stakk is the wrong choice, and either of these will serve you better. Stakk has none of those, sells in US dollars only and caps prices at $999. If cost is the whole decision, use Systeme.io instead. It charges 0% transaction fees and has a free plan up to $10,000 in lifetime sales. Whop is cheaper than us too, at 2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card with no monthly fee. And once sales are steady, a flat plan wins: by our arithmetic, at $50 a sale, ClickFunnels Launch costs less than Stakk from 26 sales a month and Kajabi Basic from 48.
What Stakk changes is the monthly bill. There isn't one. You pay 10% + $0.50 when a sale happens, and a month with no sales costs nothing, where Kajabi bills $179 and ClickFunnels $97 either way. The order bump rides the same charge as the product. The upsell after payment is one tap against the card the buyer just used, and since it is a second charge, our fee applies to it again. Both are on every account. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account, and your product is a link you paste, which Stakk emails to the buyer after payment.
Want bumps and upsells without a monthly bill?
Stakk is 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, and no monthly fee. You connect your own Stripe account, paste the link to your product, and add an order bump and a one-click upsell to it. If you are still finding out what sells, a slow month costs you nothing.
