Which Podia alternatives have no monthly fee?

Systeme.io, Whop, Payhip, Gumroad and Stakk all let you sell with no monthly fee. Systeme.io's free plan takes 0% in transaction fees, Whop charges 2.7% + $0.30 a sale, Payhip's free plan takes 5%, Gumroad takes 10% + $0.50 plus processing, and Stakk takes 10% + $0.50 with processing included. Podia dropped its own free plan in October 2024, so its lowest price is $42 a month, billed yearly. Which one fits depends on whether you need courses, the lowest fee or an upsell. Checked 26 October 2026.

Why look for a Podia alternative?

Usually because Podia charges you every month, whether you sell or not. Podia removed its free plan on 14 October 2024 and replaced it with a trial, which is now 14 days with no card needed. After that, the cheapest plan is Mover at $49 a month, or $42 a month billed yearly.

Mover also takes 5% of each sale, includes Podia Email for only 100 subscribers, and has no upsells. Those start on Shaker, at $99 a month. Our full breakdown of what Podia costs goes through every plan.

$504
The least you can pay Podia in a year: Mover billed yearly, before your first sale, and before its 5% fee on each sale.

Podia's own yearly price for Mover, $42 a month times 12. Paid month to month, the same plan is $588 a year.

The other reason is what happens when you stop paying. Podia's plans FAQ says that once your plan is canceled, your site goes offline and your products are no longer accessible, and your data is deleted after 180 days if you do not resubscribe. If you sell in bursts, with quiet months between launches, that means paying through the quiet months or your buyers losing access.

Which Podia alternatives have no monthly fee?

Five, each with a different trade. Here is what each one charges, and what one $27 sale on a US card costs in fees, using Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 where the platform adds processing on top.

Platform Monthly fee Fee on a sale Fees on one $27 sale
Whop$02.7% + $0.30, processing included$1.03
Systeme.io Free$00%, plus your processor$1.08
Payhip Free$05%, plus your processor$2.43
Stakk$010% + $0.50, processing included$3.20
Gumroad$010% + $0.50, plus 2.9% + $0.30 processing$4.28
Podia Mover, for comparison$495%, plus processing$2.43

Systeme.io Free is the closest to Podia in what it hosts. Systeme.io's pricing page lists 0% transaction fees on all plans, and the free plan includes 3 sales funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students and up to 2,000 contacts. It never expires and needs no card. The catch is two caps: 2,000 contacts and $10,000 in lifetime sales. Pass either, and after a few days' warning, payments stop. Paid plans start at $17 a month, still at 0%.

Payhip Free takes 5%, the same rate as Podia Mover, with no $49 on top. Payhip puts every feature on every plan, and its homepage lists downloads, courses and coaching. Payhip's fees drop to 2% on its $29 plan and 0% on its $99 plan.

Whop has the lowest fee here, and its pricing page says no monthly costs. Gumroad has no monthly fee either, but costs the most per sale, and it is the legal seller of your product, so it handles sales tax. Stakk sells downloads, with the fee and card processing in one number.

Which keep upsells off a paid tier?

Systeme.io, Payhip and Stakk, in different shapes. On Podia, upsells start at Shaker, $99 a month or $84 billed yearly, the same $99 price point several platforms use for the upsell. Podia's pricing page lists upsells and does not mention an order bump.

  • Systeme.io Free includes 1 order bump and 1 one-click upsell, then 10 of each on the $17 plan, 100 on the $47 plan and unlimited on the $97 plan. Its help center says the bump and the upsell are each charged as a separate transaction from the main order.
  • Payhip has no paid tiers for features at all. Its cross-sell shows in the cart before payment, on the free plan. After checkout, its upgrade discount asks the buyer to make a new transaction rather than accept in one click.
  • Gumroad shows an offer when the buyer presses Pay. Its help docs describe no one-click offer after payment.
  • Stakk has an order bump and a post-purchase upsell on every account. The bump rides the same charge as the product. The upsell is one tap against the card the buyer just used, charged as its own sale at the same rate.

If the upsell after payment is why you are leaving Podia, Systeme.io and Stakk are the two of the five where I could confirm one with no monthly fee.

Which is cheapest per sale?

Whop, then Systeme.io. On a $27 US card sale, Whop's fee page gives 2.7% + $0.30, which is $1.03 with processing included. Systeme.io takes 0%, so you pay only your own processor, about $1.08 with Stripe.

Whop's headline is the floor, though. International cards add 1.5%, currency conversion adds 1%, and each dispute costs $15. Systeme.io's floor is the free plan's two caps, after which you need a paid plan.

Next comes Payhip Free at $2.43, then Stakk at $3.20, then Gumroad at about $4.28. So Stakk is fourth of the five on price per sale. Our fee is the higher one, and we say so because it is true.

Note that Payhip Free and Podia Mover cost exactly the same per sale, $2.43. The difference is that Podia also charges $49 a month for it.

When is staying on Podia cheaper?

When you sell a lot each month, or when moving would mean rebuilding courses and a community. On fees, the plan to compare is Shaker, not Mover. Shaker takes 0%, so a $27 sale costs about $1.08 in processing, plus $99 a month.

  • Against Stakk, Shaker costs less from the 47th sale of a $27 product in a month, or the 40th on yearly billing.
  • Against Payhip Free, Shaker costs less once your sales pass $1,980 a month, about the 74th sale of a $27 product.
  • Against Gumroad, Shaker costs less from the 31st sale.
  • Against Whop and Systeme.io, Podia does not win on fees. Their cost per sale is the same or lower, Whop has no monthly fee, and Systeme.io's paid plans start at $17 a month.

Those are our sums on each platform's published rates, for a $27 product on a US card. At other prices the lines move.

Then there is the move itself. Podia hosts courses, community spaces, coaching, events and email in one place. Leaving means moving each of those, and telling past buyers where their products went, since canceling Podia takes them offline. If you are near those sales numbers, or you use most of what Podia hosts, staying is likely the cheaper call.

When would I send you somewhere else?

If you sell courses, memberships, coaching or a community, Stakk is the wrong choice and you should look at Systeme.io or Payhip instead, both of which host courses with no monthly fee. Stakk has no course hosting, no communities, no email marketing, no subscriptions or recurring billing and no call booking. It works in US dollars only, nothing goes above $999, and it does not store your files: you paste a link to where the file lives, and Stakk emails it to the buyer after payment. On price alone, Whop at 2.7% + $0.30 and Systeme.io at 0% both cost less per sale than our 10% + $0.50. If Payhip is also on your list, our guide to Payhip alternatives looks at the same field from Payhip's side.

What Stakk does differently is put both selling tools on every account, with nothing behind a tier and no monthly fee. The order bump rides the same charge as the product, so it carries one fee rather than two. The upsell is one tap against the card already on file, and it is a second charge that carries its own fee. The money lands in your own Stripe account, not a balance we hold. The layout came out of funnels that ran for agency clients before Stakk existed.

Want an upsell with no monthly fee?

If you are leaving Podia because Shaker costs $99 a month for the upsell, and you sell downloads rather than courses, Stakk gives you an order bump and a post-purchase upsell on every account. There is no monthly fee and no plan to outgrow. It is 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, and nothing in a month with no sales. The upsell is its own charge and takes the fee again. You can have a product with both live in about ten minutes.
