What are the alternatives to SendOwl?
The right SendOwl alternative depends on what you want to change. SendOwl charges a flat monthly plan from $39, or $32.50 a month billed yearly, and takes no cut of your sales. If the monthly fee is the problem, Gumroad, Payhip's free plan, Whop and Stakk charge only when you sell, and Systeme.io's free plan has no transaction fee at all. If you like paying a flat fee and want a different plan or price, look at Sellfy or Checkout Page. Checked 12 October 2026.
Why do people look for a SendOwl alternative?
Mostly because of the monthly fee, and because SendOwl moves you up a plan as your sales grow. Both are written plainly on its own pages.
SendOwl's pricing page lists three plans: Launch at $39 a month, Grow at $87 and Scale at $159, or $32.50, $72.50 and $132.50 a month billed yearly. Every feature is on every plan, and SendOwl takes no cut of a sale. What changes between plans is volume. Launch covers up to $10,000 in sales and 5,000 orders a year, Grow $36,000 and 25,000, and Scale $100,000 and 50,000, counted over the last 12 months. Go past a limit and SendOwl says it will tell you and move you to the next plan. Above the bandwidth in your plan, it charges $1 per GB.
So a new seller pays $39 a month before the first sale comes in, and a growing one gets moved up a tier whether or not they planned to. If neither of those bothers you, you may not need to move at all. Our breakdown of what SendOwl costs works through each plan in detail.
How do the SendOwl alternatives compare on fees?
They split into two groups: platforms that charge a monthly fee and take no cut, like SendOwl, and platforms that charge nothing monthly and take a cut of each sale. Here is each one as its own pricing page states it.
| Platform | Monthly fee | Cut of each sale | Card processing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Checkout Page | Free up to $3,000 in sales a month, Launch $29, Scale from $99 | 0% | Stripe's fee on top |
| Gumroad | $0 | 10% + $0.50 | 2.9% + $0.30 on top |
| Payhip | $0 / $29 / $99 | 5% / 2% / 0% | Stripe or PayPal on top |
| SendOwl | $39 / $87 / $159, or $32.50 / $72.50 / $132.50 billed yearly | 0% | Stripe or PayPal on top |
| Sellfy | $29 / $79 / $159, or $22 / $59 / $119 billed yearly | 0% | Processor fee on top |
| Stakk | $0 | 10% + $0.50 | Included |
| Systeme.io | $0 / $17 / $47 / $97 | 0% | Processor fee on top |
| Whop | $0 | 2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card | Included in that rate |
The monthly group wins once your sales are steady and large enough to spread the plan across. The per-sale group wins while sales are small or uneven, because a quiet month costs nothing.
Which SendOwl alternative has no monthly fee?
Gumroad, Payhip's free plan, Whop, Systeme.io's free plan and Stakk all let you sell without a monthly bill. They differ in how much each sale costs.
Take a $20 sale, using Stripe's standard US rate of 2.9% + $0.30 where processing sits on top. SendOwl's own fee article quotes the same rate. On SendOwl itself, that sale costs $0.88, plus the plan.
- Whop: $0.84. Its rate is 2.7% + $0.30 with no setup fees and no monthly costs. International cards add 1.5%, and currency conversion another 1%. Our guide to Whop's fees lists the extras.
- Systeme.io: $0.88. That is processing only, since every plan has 0% transaction fees. The free plan caps you at 2,000 contacts, and what Systeme.io costs explains what happens past it.
- Payhip free plan: $1.88. 5% plus processing.
- Stakk: $2.50. 10% + $0.50 with card processing included.
- Gumroad: $3.38. 10% + $0.50, and its fees page says card processing is extra. Our Gumroad fees breakdown covers its 30% Discover rate too.
Which alternative keeps a flat monthly fee like SendOwl?
Sellfy is the closest match, and Checkout Page is the one with a free plan. Both take 0% of a sale and charge by how much you sell.
Sellfy's pricing page lists Starter at $29 a month, Business at $79 and Premium at $159, or $22, $59 and $119 billed yearly, with a 14-day free trial. The plans cap annual sales at $10,000, $50,000 and $200,000. Go over and do not upgrade, and Sellfy says it may charge a 2% overage fee on the amount above the cap. That is a softer rule than SendOwl's automatic move up. Its Starter plan costs $10 a month less than SendOwl's Launch for the same $10,000 cap, but product upselling only starts on Business.
Checkout Page's pricing page shows a free plan for up to $3,000 in sales a month, with no fees beyond Stripe's own. On the free plan, your pages pause once you pass $3,000 in a 30-day period, until the period resets or you upgrade. Scale starts at $99 a month for up to $10,000 a month and rises with volume. The free plan includes digital file delivery and license keys, two features SendOwl also has on every plan.
Payhip Pro is the third option: $99 a month for no transaction fee from Payhip at all.
Which alternatives have an order bump and a one-click upsell?
Systeme.io and Stakk have both with no monthly fee, and Checkout Page has both if you pay for Scale. An order bump is an extra item the buyer ticks on the checkout before paying. A one-click upsell is an offer shown after payment that the buyer accepts without typing their card again.
SendOwl sits in between. Its upsell help doc describes one upsell tool that runs before or after payment. Before payment, the buyer ticks a box and the add-on joins the order, which works like a bump. After payment, it only works with card payments, and the doc does not say whether the buyer re-enters their card, so we can't call it one-click. It also shows only one upsell per order.
How a post-purchase one-click upsell works. SendOwl offers an upsell after payment, but its help doc does not say whether this last step needs the card again.
Elsewhere: Systeme.io includes 1 bump and 1 one-click upsell on its free plan. Checkout Page has bumps on Free and one-click upsells from Scale at $99. Gumroad's offer appears when the buyer presses Pay, and no one-click offer after payment is documented. Payhip has a cart cross-sell, but its offer after checkout is a new transaction. Sellfy's upsell shows on store and product pages, not in checkout. Our comparison of platforms with both covers the rest.
How do you move your products off SendOwl?
One product at a time. SendOwl's help center says there is no bulk export and no button that downloads your whole library. If you no longer have your own copy of a file, you issue yourself a free order for that product and download it from the order email, like a buyer would.
Two details in the same doc matter. If PDF stamping or document locking is on, your copy comes out stamped or locked, so turn those off first, download, then turn them back on. And if your account has no payment details on file, SendOwl may ask for them before it lets you issue the order.
Before you move, list what you use on SendOwl, because every plan includes a lot: subscriptions, drip content, license keys, PDF stamping, download limits, affiliates and file hosting. Then check each one on the new platform's own pages. Every alternative above covers the basics of selling a download. Not every one covers all of that. Moving is a good time to drop what you never used, and a bad time to find out something you relied on is missing.
When is Stakk the wrong SendOwl alternative?
Stakk is the wrong choice when file protection is the reason you chose SendOwl. It does not host files. You paste in a link to wherever the file lives, such as a Google Drive folder or a Notion page, and Stakk emails that link to the buyer once they pay. SendOwl's own help center advises against Dropbox and Google Drive links for delivery, because a link anyone can open can be shared past your buyer, and SendOwl cannot enforce download limits on it. If PDF stamping, signed download links or license keys matter to you, SendOwl is the better pick, and you should stay. Stakk also has no subscriptions, no prices above $999 and no currency other than US dollars, so it does not fit a membership or a high-ticket product. And on cost alone, Systeme.io charges no transaction fee and Whop charges 2.7% + $0.30, both less than our 10% + $0.50.
What Stakk does differently is the checkout around the sale. The order bump rides the same charge as the product, so it carries one fee rather than two, and the upsell is one tap against the card already used, charged as its own sale at the same rate. Both are on every account with nothing behind a tier, and the layout came out of funnels that ran for agency clients before Stakk existed.
Want a bump and a one-click upsell with no monthly plan?
If the monthly fee is what sent you looking, Stakk swaps it for a fee per sale: 10% + $0.50 with card processing included, and nothing in a month you sell nothing. Payments land in your own Stripe account, not a balance we hold. Paste your file link, set a price, add the bump and the upsell, and the checkout is live.
