Systeme.io vs Stan Store: which should you use?

Nathan Field Nathan Field·Founder, Stakk · 28 October 2026 · 7 min read

Systeme.io is the better pick if you want to start for nothing and get funnels, email and courses in one place. Its free plan takes 0% of each sale and includes an order bump and a one-click upsell, but it stops taking new sales once lifetime sales pass $10,000 unless you upgrade, from $17 a month. Stan Store is the better pick if your buyers find you on social media and you want a storefront with bookings and courses, from $29 a month. Stan keeps its order bumps and upsells for the $99 plan. Checked 26 October 2026.

Neither one takes a cut of your sales. The real differences are what each plan unlocks, what happens when you outgrow the free plan, and where your money sits after a sale.

Is Systeme.io or Stan Store better?

Neither is better for everyone. Systeme.io is an all-in-one kit for selling online: funnels, email, courses and a store, with a free plan. Stan Store is a storefront for creators whose buyers arrive from a social profile, with a 14-day trial and no free plan. Here they are side by side.

Systeme.io's pricing page also lists a booking calendar, communities, a blog, an affiliate program, SMS, physical products and a link-in-bio page. Stan's $29 Creator plan includes a storefront, calendar and booking tools, an unlimited course builder, subscriptions, lead magnets, community features and Stan AutoDM for automated Instagram replies. What do Systeme.io and Stan Store cost?

Systeme.io runs from $0 to $97 a month. Stan Store is $29 or $99 a month. Neither takes a percentage of your sales, so card processing is most of what each sale costs.

The prices come from Systeme.io's pricing page, which says "No transaction fees" on every plan, and Stan's plan comparison in its help center. Stan's own pricing page no longer loads, so the help center is the source. For one side in full, see what Systeme.io costs or Stan Store pricing.

On a $50 sale by US card, Stripe takes 2.9% + $0.30, which is $1.75, on either one. Stan adds a payout fee of 0.25% + $0.25 each time you cash out, with a $1 minimum, and 1.5% more when the buyer is in another country. Stakk is 10% + $0.50 with card processing included, so $5.50 on the same sale.

What happens at Systeme.io's $10,000 free plan cap?

Your payment pages stop taking new sales until you move to a paid plan. The free plan is free for good, but it is not free for any amount of selling.

$10,000
The lifetime sales limit on Systeme.io's free plan. Past it, payment pages stop accepting new sales unless you upgrade. Affiliate commissions do not count toward it.

The limit as written in Systeme.io's terms, Article 5a, and its help center, read 26 October 2026. The cheapest paid plan after it is Startup at $17 a month.

Here is how it plays out, from Systeme.io's terms and its help center. A warning banner shows on your dashboard once sales reach $8,000. When you hit $10,000, you get an email and three days to move to a paid plan. If you do not, your payment pages stop accepting new sales. The terms also say your account "will not be automatically upgraded or charged", so nothing is billed without you choosing it.

"Lifetime" matters. The count does not reset each month or year. Once you pass it on the free plan, you are on a paid plan for as long as you want to keep selling.

There is a second limit: 2,000 contacts. Go over it and you get three warning emails, one a day. On the fourth day the restriction starts: opt-ins and payments stop working, and students lose course access while it lasts.

Stan has no free plan to outgrow. You start on a 14-day trial, and you can sell during it once Stripe or PayPal is connected.

Which has order bumps and upsells, and on which plan?

Systeme.io has both on every plan, including Free. Stan has both on Creator Pro only, at $99 a month.

On Systeme.io the free plan gets one order bump and one one-click upsell, Startup gets 10 of each, Webinar 100, and Unlimited has no cap. The bump sits on the payment page. Its help center says the main offer and the bump "are processed as two separate transactions". An accepted upsell is also charged as its own transaction. On Stripe's 2.9% + 30c rate, that means a fixed fee on each charge, so a product plus a bump pays the 30c twice.

On Stan, the bump sits on the checkout page, one per product. It has to be a paid digital download, course or community, and it cannot be a subscription. Upsells live in Stan's funnels: up to 20 pages and five levels of upsells and downsells. Funnels take cards through Stripe only, and each product is its own entry with its own receipt. You cannot add an order bump inside a funnel. Stan's articles do not say whether the buyer can take an upsell without typing the card again. There is more in whether Stan Store has order bumps.

If bumps and upsells are why you are comparing these two, Systeme.io's $17 Startup plan gives you ten of each. Stan's cheapest plan with any is $99.

How do you get paid on each?

Systeme.io sends the money to your own payment account. Stan keeps card sales in an account it manages until you cash out.

On Systeme.io you connect your own gateway: Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Flutterwave, Mercado Pago or Xendit, among others. For Stripe, you log in to your existing account or create a new one. Each sale lands in that account, and the gateway pays your bank on its own schedule. Systeme.io has no payout schedule of its own. You are the legal seller. Refunds come out of your gateway balance, and partial refunds are not supported.

Stan works the other way round. Its Stripe setup article says you create a new Custom Stripe account that Stan manages, and you cannot connect a Stripe account you already have. Sales land in Stan's Income tab. US sales take 2 to 7 business days to settle, usually about 2. Then you cash out by hand: the balance must be at least $10, you cash out all of it, and it reaches your bank 24 to 48 hours later. There are no automatic cash outs. PayPal sales are different. They go straight to your own PayPal Business account, though PayPal does not work in funnels.

On Stakk, the charge goes straight into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays your bank on the schedule you choose. We never hold it.

Which should you pick?

Pick Systeme.io if you want to start at $0 and keep your tools in one account: funnels, email, a course, a blog and a store. It suits a seller still testing what sells, and it gives you bumps and upsells for free. Plan for the two limits. Past $10,000 in lifetime sales or 2,000 contacts, you need a paid plan, and Startup at $17 is still $12 a month less than Stan's cheapest.

Pick Stan Store if your buyers come from your social profile and you want one storefront for products, bookings, courses, subscriptions and a community. The $29 plan covers all of that. If order bumps and upsells matter to you, budget $99, because Creator never gets them. And know that card money waits in Stan's balance until you cash it out yourself. If that is the part you do not like, our list of Stan Store alternatives with no monthly fee covers the other options.

When would I send you somewhere else?

If you need courses, bookings, a community, email marketing or subscriptions, Stakk is the wrong choice and either of these will serve you better. Stakk has none of those, sells in US dollars only, caps prices at $999 and has no link-in-bio page builder. And if cost per sale is the whole decision, use Systeme.io instead. It charges 0% on every plan, and the free plan costs nothing up to the cap. Whop is cheaper than us too, at 2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card with no monthly fee. Both take less per sale than our 10% + $0.50.

What Stakk does differently is the checkout. The order bump rides the same charge as the product, so it carries one fee rather than two. The upsell after payment is one tap against the card the buyer just used. It is a second charge, so our fee applies to it again. Both are on every account, with one rate and no plan to outgrow. And there are no files to manage: you paste a link to your product, and Stakk emails it to the buyer after payment.

Want an order bump and an upsell with no plan to outgrow?

Stakk is 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, and no monthly fee. You connect your own Stripe account, paste the link to your product, and add a bump and an upsell to it. A month with no sales costs you nothing, and each sale lands in your Stripe account, not in a balance we hold.
