Which ThriveCart alternatives have no monthly fee?

Five checkouts can replace ThriveCart with no monthly fee: the free plans of Systeme.io, Checkout Page and Payhip, plus Gumroad and Stakk. Of those five, Systeme.io and Stakk include both an order bump and a one-click upsell after payment. Checkout Page has free order bumps but charges $99 a month for upsells, and Payhip and Gumroad have an add-on offer at checkout but no one-click upsell after payment. ThriveCart itself starts at $47 a month. Checked 22 October 2026.

This post is for one kind of ThriveCart buyer: you want the order bump and the upsell, and you do not want a bill in months you sell nothing. If you need subscriptions, courses or an affiliate program, read the section on what you give up before you switch.

Why look for a ThriveCart alternative with no monthly fee?

Because ThriveCart is now a monthly or yearly plan. Standard is $47 a month or $444 a year, and Pro+ is $87 a month or $804 a year. The lifetime option still exists, as a one-time payment of $495, but ThriveCart's own FAQ says ThriveCart Academy, its course and community platform, is not included with lifetime plans.

A plan fee is charged whether you sell or not. That is fine when you sell every week. It hurts when you sell a few products a month, or when you are still testing whether a product sells at all.

What ThriveCart Standard costs over 12 months on monthly billing, before you sell anything.

Our own arithmetic on ThriveCart's published price: 12 times $47. Every alternative in this post costs $0 in a month with no sales.

None of this makes ThriveCart a bad deal. Once you sell enough each month, a flat plan costs less than a cut of every sale. Our breakdown of what ThriveCart costs works out where that line sits. This post is for the sellers below it.

Which ThriveCart alternatives have no monthly fee?

Systeme.io's free plan, Checkout Page's free plan, Payhip's free plan, Gumroad and Stakk. Each charges $0 a month. They differ in what they take from a sale and in which selling tools they include.

Platform and plan Monthly fee Platform's cut of a sale Order bump One-click upsell after payment
Systeme.io Free$00% transaction feesYes, 1Yes, 1
Checkout Page Free$0, up to $3,000 in sales a monthNone beyond Stripe's processing feesYesNo, from $99 a month
Payhip Free$05%, plus PayPal or Stripe feesA cross-sell in the cartNo, its upgrade discount is a second transaction
Stakk$010% + $0.50, card processing includedYesYes, a second charge with its own fee
Gumroad$010% + $0.50, plus 2.9% + $0.30 card processingAn upsell shown after the buyer presses PayNot documented
ThriveCart Standard, for reference$470%, plus processor feesYes, 1Yes

The rows are sorted by what each one takes from a sale, smallest first. Systeme.io and Checkout Page take nothing on top of processing. Payhip takes 5% on its free plan. Stakk and Gumroad both quote 10% + $0.50, but Stakk's figure includes card processing and Gumroad's does not.

Which alternative has a free order bump and a one-click upsell?

Systeme.io and Stakk. Systeme.io's pricing table lists 1 order bump and 1 one-click upsell on the free plan, 10 of each on Startup at $17 a month, 100 on Webinar at $47 and unlimited on Unlimited at $97. Every plan shows 0% transaction fees.

That free plan is close to what ThriveCart Standard gives you at $47 a month, which is one order bump plus one-click upsells and downsells. The catch is the free plan's limits. Systeme.io's free plan covers up to 2,000 contacts and $10,000 in lifetime sales, and what happens past those limits is worth reading before you build a funnel on it.

Stakk puts the order bump and the post-purchase upsell on every account, with no plan to move up to. You pay 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included. The bump rides the same charge as the product. The upsell is a second charge, so it carries its own fee.

Checkout Page comes close. Its free plan lists "Add-ons and order bumps", but its one-click upsell, which it describes as "Sell add-ons in one click after checkout", starts on the Scale plan at $99 a month.

Which alternative works most like ThriveCart?

It depends which half of ThriveCart you use. If you use it as an all-in-one, with funnels, courses and a community, Systeme.io is closest. If you use it as a checkout, with subscriptions and payment plans, Checkout Page is closest.

Systeme.io's free plan includes 3 sales funnels, 1 course, 1 community, 1 affiliate program, 1 custom domain and unlimited emails, along with its 1 bump and 1 upsell. ThriveCart covers courses and communities through ThriveCart Academy, and keeps its affiliate center for Pro+ at $87 a month.

Checkout Page's pricing page says its free plan lets you sell products, subscriptions and tickets up to $3,000 in sales a month. It lists one-time and recurring billing, payment plans and installments, and Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay. Those match ThriveCart's subscriptions and buy now pay later. Two limits to know: on the free plan your pages pause once you pass $3,000 in sales in a 30-day period, and the one-click upsell needs the $99 Scale plan.

What do Payhip and Gumroad offer instead of a one-click upsell?

An add-on offer before or at payment. Neither documents a one-tap offer after the sale goes through.

Payhip's cross-selling article says the cross-sell shows "at the bottom of the cart" when a buyer adds the product it is tied to, before they pay. Payhip's upgrade discount comes after the sale, but its help center describes it as prompting the buyer to "make another transaction", so it is a second checkout rather than one tap. Payhip's pricing page lists Free at $0 with a 5% transaction fee, Plus at $29 a month with 2%, and Pro at $99 a month with none, and every plan has every feature.

Gumroad's help center says its upsell appears after the buyer enters payment details and presses Pay. Gumroad's fees page lists 10% + $0.50 a sale on its own site, and says this "does not include" card processing at 2.9% + $0.30. It also says "There are no monthly payments".

These two come up again and again for people leaving a flat monthly plan. They are on our list of SendOwl alternatives for the same reason.

What do you give up when you leave ThriveCart?

Mostly the tools around the checkout. ThriveCart Standard includes subscriptions with subscription bumps and retention offers, buy now pay later and split pay, A/B split testing, abandoned cart recovery, sales tax automation, 100+ direct integrations, and the ThriveCart Academy Starter plan for courses and communities. Pro+ adds an affiliate center with automated payouts.

No single free alternative covers all of that. Systeme.io covers courses, communities and an affiliate program. Checkout Page covers subscriptions, payment plans and buy now pay later. Stakk covers none of those. It is a checkout for one-time digital products, with an order bump and a one-click upsell.

So write down which ThriveCart tools you actually use before you move. If the list is long, a monthly plan may still be the right home, and our roundup of SamCart alternatives covers paid options like Stan Store and Kajabi.

When is Stakk the wrong ThriveCart alternative?

When you use ThriveCart for more than a checkout, or when cost is the whole decision. Stakk has no subscriptions or recurring billing, no course hosting, no communities, no prices above $999, US dollars only, and it does not host your files. If you need those, Stakk is the wrong choice: use Systeme.io or Checkout Page instead, or stay on ThriveCart. On price alone, Systeme.io's free plan has 0% transaction fees, and Whop charges 2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card with no monthly costs. Both cost less per sale than our 10% + $0.50. And if you sell enough each month, ThriveCart's flat plan costs less than any per-sale cut, ours included.

What Stakk does differently is put both selling tools on every account, with nothing behind a tier and no cap on contacts. The order bump rides the same charge as the product, so it carries one fee rather than two. The upsell is one tap against the card the buyer just used. The money goes to your own Stripe account, not a balance we hold. The layout came out of funnels that ran for agency clients before Stakk existed.

Want a bump and an upsell with no monthly plan?

If the bump and the upsell are the ThriveCart tools you use most, you can keep both on Stakk with no monthly fee. Stakk is 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, and nothing in a month you do not sell. Not many platforms put order bumps and upsells on a no-monthly-fee account, and you can have a product with both live in about ten minutes.
