Which Kajabi alternatives cost less to sell digital products?

Nathan Field Nathan Field·Founder, Stakk · 31 October 2026 · 7 min read

Nearly all of them. Kajabi starts at $179 a month on its Basic plan. Systeme.io has a free plan, Stan Store starts at $29 a month, Teachable at $39, Podia at $49, SamCart at $79, ClickFunnels at $97 and Thinkific at $109. Whop and Stakk charge nothing a month and take a cut of each sale instead. If you want an order bump and an upsell with no monthly bill, Systeme.io's free plan and Stakk both have them. Checked 26 October 2026.

A lower price usually means less in the box. Kajabi bundles courses, coaching, communities, email and a website. Most of the cheaper tools do some of that, not all of it. So the useful question is which parts you actually use.

Why look for a Kajabi alternative?

Because Kajabi costs a lot before you sell anything. Kajabi's pricing page lists Basic at $179 a month, Growth at $249 and Pro at $499. Billed yearly, those come down to $143, $199 and $399 a month. There is no free plan.

The entry plan is also tight. Basic allows 5 products, 2,500 contacts, one website, one community and two admin users. If you sell a handful of templates or guides, 5 products fills up fast, and the next step is Growth at $249 a month for 50 products.

What the money buys is a lot of product. Kajabi runs courses, coaching, memberships, communities, podcasts, email marketing, funnels and a website from one login. If you use most of that, $179 can be fair. If you mainly sell downloads from a link in your bio, you pay for a lot you will not use.

I have broken down what Kajabi costs on each plan separately, so this page is only about the alternatives.

Which Kajabi alternatives cost less each month?

All nine below. Three have no monthly fee at all, and the most expensive of the rest is still $70 a month under Kajabi Basic.

Platform Cheapest plan, monthly Billed yearly Cut of each sale on that plan
Stakk$0, no planNo plan10% + $0.50, card processing included
Systeme.ioFree, $0Free0%, plus your Stripe or PayPal fee
Whop$0, no planNo plan2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card
Stan StoreCreator, $29$300 a year0% to Stan, Stripe 2.9% + $0.30
TeachableStarter, $39$29 a month7.5% transaction fee
PodiaMover, $49$42 a month5%, plus 2.9% + 30c processing
SamCartCore, $7925% offNone on SamPay, 2.9% + 30c processing
ClickFunnelsLaunch, $97$81 a monthNone, per its pricing page
ThinkificStart, $109$82 a monthProcessing at 2.9%
KajabiBasic, $179$143 a monthNone on Kajabi Payments, 2.9% + $0.30 processing

Three of these have a catch in the fee. Teachable's $39 Starter plan takes 7.5% of each sale, and its $89 Builder plan drops that to 0%. Podia's $49 Mover plan takes 5%, and its $99 Shaker plan takes none. Systeme.io's free plan has 0% fees, but it stops taking payments a few days after you pass $10,000 in lifetime sales or 2,000 contacts, unless you move to a paid plan from $17 a month.

Stan Store is the closest in spirit to a creator storefront. Its $29 plan includes a course builder, calendar booking, subscriptions and community features. There is more on Stan Store pricing, including its payout fee.

Which still have order bumps and upsells?

Kajabi has both, and its help center names no plan gate for either. Its order bump article says "Order bumps are available on all offers", up to six per offer with its Enhanced Checkout. Its upsell shows right after checkout and runs as a separate transaction on the same payment method. Here is where the cheaper options keep them.

Platform Order bump Upsell after payment
StakkEvery accountEvery account
Systeme.io1 on Free, 10 on Startup ($17)1 on Free, 10 on Startup ($17)
Stan StoreCreator Pro ($99) onlyCreator Pro ($99), in funnels
TeachableUp to 3, no plan namedStarter ($39) and up
PodiaNot on its pricing pageShaker ($99) and up
SamCartPro ($199) onlyPro ($199) only
ClickFunnelsBump products, no plan namedOne-time offer, no plan named
ThinkificEvery planEvery plan

So the cheapest monthly bills that clearly include both are Systeme.io's free plan and Stakk, at $0. After those come Stan's Creator Pro at $99 and Thinkific's Start plan at $109. If checkout tools are what you are after, I have also checked SamCart alternatives that keep order bumps and upsells and ThriveCart alternatives with no monthly fee, plus a side-by-side of SamCart vs Kajabi.

One detail is worth knowing. Kajabi groups every one-time item at checkout into a single transaction, so its bump rides the same charge as the product. Systeme.io's help center says its bump and main offer are processed as two separate transactions.

Which fits if you mostly sell downloads?

Systeme.io, Stan Store or Stakk, depending on who you want to look after the file and how you want to pay.

Kajabi can sell digital downloads, but Basic caps you at 5 products. Podia, Teachable and Thinkific sell downloads too, but each starts at $39 a month or more.

Systeme.io hosts the file for you, and its free plan costs nothing a month. Stan Store can host a file up to 5GB or send buyers to a link, from $29 a month, and its storefront is made for buyers who find you on social media. If Stan is on your list, our Stan Store alternatives with no monthly fee covers that side.

Stakk works differently. It stores no files. You paste a link to a file you keep somewhere else, and Stakk emails that link to the buyer after they pay. The trade is that you look after the file yourself. What you get back is no monthly fee and a checkout with a bump and an upsell on every product.

When is Kajabi still the right pick?

When you use what it bundles, or when you sell enough that a flat fee beats a cut. Against Stakk, on a $50 product, that happens at 48 sales a month.

48
Sales of a $50 product in one month at which Kajabi Basic becomes cheaper than Stakk. Below that, Stakk costs less.

Our own arithmetic on published US rates. At 47 sales, Kajabi Basic costs $261.25 ($179, plus $1.75 a sale on Kajabi Payments) and Stakk $258.50. At 48, Kajabi is $263.00 and Stakk $264.00. Billed yearly at $143 a month, Kajabi Basic is cheaper from 39 sales.

The better reason to stay is the product itself. If you sell courses, coaching or a paid community, Kajabi does all of it in one place, with email marketing and funnels on every plan. A course seller is better on Kajabi than on Stakk, which has no course hosting. And if you have a team, Growth gives you 11 admin users.

But price that against Systeme.io and Stan Store first. Both sell courses and run a community for a fraction of $179.

When would I send you somewhere else?

If you sell courses, coaching, memberships or a community, Stakk is the wrong choice. It has no course hosting, no call booking, no communities, no email marketing and no subscription billing. Kajabi, Systeme.io, Stan Store and Thinkific all do some or all of that. And if the lowest cost per sale is the whole decision, use Systeme.io or Whop instead. Systeme.io takes 0% on every plan, and Whop takes 2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card with no monthly fee. Both take less per sale than our 10% + $0.50. Stakk also sells in US dollars only, caps prices at $999 and has no link-in-bio page builder.

What Stakk does differently is the checkout. The order bump rides the same charge as the product, so it carries one fee rather than two. The upsell after payment is one tap against the card the buyer just used. It is a second charge, so our fee applies to it again. Both are on every account with nothing held back for a higher plan, and the layout came out of funnels that ran for agency clients before Stakk existed.

Want to sell downloads without a monthly bill?

Stakk is 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, and nothing a month. You paste a link to your file, set a price, add a bump and an upsell, and Stakk emails the link to each buyer after they pay. A month with no sales costs nothing, and the money lands in your own Stripe account, not in a balance we hold.
