Kajabi vs Stan Store: which should you use?
Stan Store is the better pick if your buyers find you on social media and you want a store, courses, booking and a community for $29 a month. Kajabi is the better pick if you run a course or coaching business and want email, funnels and a full website in one login, from $179 a month. Neither takes a cut of your sales on its own payments, so card processing is most of what each sale costs. Order bumps and upsells need Stan's $99 plan, and Kajabi's help center names no plan gate for them. Checked 26 October 2026.
Both are good at what they are built for. The gap is mostly the monthly price, and how each one gets the money to your bank.
Is Kajabi or Stan Store better?
Neither is better for everyone. Stan Store is a storefront for creators whose buyers arrive from a social profile. Kajabi is a business platform for experts who sell courses, coaching and memberships, with email and a website built in. Here they are side by side.

What do Kajabi and Stan Store cost?
Stan Store is $29 or $99 a month. Kajabi is $179, $249 or $499 a month. Neither has a free plan.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Order bump and upsell |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kajabi Basic | $179 | $143 a month | No plan gate named |
| Kajabi Growth | $249 | $199 a month | No plan gate named |
| Kajabi Pro | $499 | $399 a month | No plan gate named |

The prices come from Kajabi's pricing page and Stan's plan comparison. Stan's own pricing page no longer loads, so its help center is the source. Stan gives you 14 days free. For each side in full, see what Kajabi costs or Stan Store pricing.
Kajabi's lower plans come with limits that push you up. Basic allows 5 products and 2,500 contacts. Growth raises that to 50 products and 25,000 contacts. Pro gives unlimited products and 100,000 contacts.
What does each take per sale?
Card processing, and little else. Kajabi's pricing page says it takes no revenue share as a platform. Stan says it earns 0% from transactions.
On Kajabi Payments, a US sale costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Those rates are for US businesses. If you use a third-party payment provider instead, Kajabi lists a fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro.
On Stan, Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 on a US card, 1.5% more when the buyer is in another country, and a payout fee of 0.25% + $0.25 each time you cash out, with a $1 minimum. A PayPal sale costs PayPal's 3.49% plus a fixed fee instead.
On a $50 sale by US card, both entry plans come to $1.75 in processing. Per sale they are even, so the monthly fee is the real gap.
Our own arithmetic on both vendors' published monthly prices. Billed yearly, Kajabi Basic is $143 a month and Stan's Creator is $300 a year.
Stakk works the other way round: no monthly fee, and 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, which is $5.50 on that same $50 sale.
Which has order bumps and upsells?
Both do. Stan keeps them on Creator Pro at $99 a month. Kajabi's help center describes both without naming a plan.
Kajabi's order bump article says "Order bumps are available on all offers." You can add up to six per offer with its Enhanced Checkout, and its pop-up checkout supports one. All one-time items at checkout are grouped into a single transaction, so the bump rides the same charge as the product. Kajabi's upsell shows right after checkout and is processed as a separate transaction on the same payment method. Its article does not say whether the buyer types the card again.
Stan allows one order bump per product, on Creator Pro. The bump has to be a paid digital download, course or community, and it cannot be a subscription. Upsells live in Stan's funnels, also Creator Pro only: up to 20 pages and five levels of upsells and downsells. Funnels take card payments only, and you cannot add an order bump inside a funnel. Stan's articles do not say whether an upsell is one click.
If bumps are why you are comparing the two, Stan's Creator Pro is still $80 a month less than Kajabi's cheapest plan.
How do you get paid on each?
Kajabi pays your bank on a schedule. Stan makes you cash out by hand.
Kajabi's payouts article says a new Kajabi Payments account starts on monthly payouts with a T+7 transaction delay, so a sale joins a payout seven business days after it happens. Daily or weekly payouts may open up one to two business days after your first sale. Kajabi also has Instant Payouts, which usually arrive within 30 minutes, for a service fee that varies by region.
Stan has you create a new Custom Stripe account that Stan manages, and you cannot connect a Stripe account you already have. US sales take 2 to 7 business days to settle, usually about 2. Then you cash out from the Income tab. The balance must be at least $10, you cash out all of it, and it reaches your bank 24 to 48 hours later. There are no automatic cash outs. PayPal sales are different: they go straight to your own PayPal Business account.
On Stakk the charge goes straight into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays your bank on the schedule you choose. We never hold it.
Which should you pick?
Pick Stan Store if your buyers come from your social profile and you want products, courses, bookings and a community in one place. The $29 plan covers all of that, $150 a month less than Kajabi Basic. It suits a creator still finding out what sells.
Pick Kajabi if you run a course or coaching business with an email list, and want funnels, a full website and room for a team under one login. Growth gives you 11 admin users and 25,000 contacts. It suits an expert with steady sales, where $179 to $249 a month is one cost among many.
If neither fits, I have checked Kajabi alternatives that cost less and Stan Store alternatives with no monthly fee.
When would I send you somewhere else?
If you need courses, coaching calls, a community, email marketing or subscriptions, Stakk is the wrong choice and either of these will serve you better. Stakk has none of those, sells in US dollars only, caps prices at $999 and has no link-in-bio page builder. A course seller is better on Kajabi. And if cost per sale is the whole decision, use Systeme.io or Whop instead. Systeme.io charges no transaction fees on any plan, and Whop charges 2.7% + $0.30 on a domestic card with no monthly cost. Both take less per sale than our 10% + $0.50.
What Stakk does differently is the checkout. The order bump rides the same charge as the product, so it carries one fee rather than two. The upsell after payment is one tap against the card the buyer just used. It is a second charge, so our fee applies to it again. Both are on every account with nothing held back for a $99 or $179 plan.
Want a bump and an upsell with no monthly plan?
Stakk is 10% + $0.50 a sale with card processing included, and no monthly fee. You paste a link to your file, and Stakk emails it to the buyer after they pay. Add a bump and an upsell to any product, and a month with no sales costs you nothing. The money lands in your own Stripe account, not in a balance you cash out.
