What files do you need to sell a font?

Sell OTF and TTF files. Both install on Mac and Windows. For use on websites, add WOFF2 files, a format made for the web.

Zip the font files with your license file and a preview sheet that shows every letter, number and symbol.

How do buyers get their fonts?

Stakk emails them a link to your zip the moment they pay. Keep the zip in Google Drive or Dropbox, and paste the share link when you add the font.

Show the font in use with your six images and videos: a quote, a logo, a poster, the full alphabet.

What can you add at checkout?

Doodles, swashes or a bold weight that match the font fit the order bump, on one charge. The upsell is a natural place for a wider license or the full family, added with one click after payment.

How does selling fonts on Stakk work?

  1. Claim your link. Pick a name. stakk.store/yourname is your store.
  2. Add your font. Give it a title, a price and up to six images or videos. Paste the link to your file.
  3. Share your link. Put it in your bio. Buyers pay on your store, and the download goes straight to their email.

What does it cost to sell fonts on Stakk?

From 10% + $0.50 per sale, card processing included. There is no monthly fee and no setup fee, so you pay nothing until you make a sale.

You set your own price, in whole US dollars from $1 to $999. Every sale is a one-off payment, and buyers pay into your own Stripe account.

Is Stakk right for your fonts?

Yes, for fonts sold as downloads at a price you set.

Stakk has no built-in license tiers. List each license as its own product, like personal use and commercial use, each with its own license file. Stakk does not write or check license terms, and it has no license keys.

Questions people ask

How do I sell personal and commercial licenses?

Make two products for the same font, each with its own price and its own license file.

What should my font license say?

That is up to you. Stakk can't advise on the wording.

Can I give a free demo font away?

Yes. Offer a few letters or a personal use demo as a lead magnet, in return for an email address.
