What do you need to sell an ebook online?

Three things: the finished file, a price, and a place to sell it. A PDF works for most books. Add an EPUB too if your readers use e-readers.

Stakk is the place to sell it. Your store lives at one link, stakk.store/yourname, so it fits in any bio. Each ebook gets its own page and its own checkout. Buyers don't make an account. They type a name and an email, pay, and they're done.

How do buyers get their ebooks?

You keep the file where you like: Google Drive, Dropbox or Notion. When you add the ebook, you paste its share link. The moment a buyer pays, Stakk emails them that link with their receipt.

If they lose the email, they can send it again themselves at stakk.store/orders with their email and order number. You don't have to do a thing.

One tip: set the share link so anyone with the link can view it. If you don't, buyers hit a locked page.

What can you add at checkout?

An order bump is a small extra the buyer ticks before they pay. For an ebook, try a printable workbook, a checklist or the audiobook. It rides the same charge, so it carries one fee.

An upsell shows after they pay. One click adds it, with no card to type again. A video version, a template pack or your next book works well here. It is its own charge with its own fee.

How does selling ebooks on Stakk work?

  1. Claim your link. Pick a name. stakk.store/yourname is your store.
  2. Add your ebook. Give it a title, a price and up to six images or videos. Paste the link to your file.
  3. Share your link. Put it in your bio. Buyers pay on your store, and the download goes straight to their email.

What does it cost to sell ebooks on Stakk?

From 10% + $0.50 per sale, card processing included. There is no monthly fee and no setup fee, so you pay nothing until you make a sale.

You set your own price, in whole US dollars from $1 to $999. Every sale is a one-off payment, and buyers pay into your own Stripe account.

Is Stakk right for your ebooks?

Stakk suits an ebook you sell as a one-off, at a price you set. Buyers pay into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays you on its own schedule.

It is not the right fit if you want a subscription, a reading app, or copy protection on the file. Stakk sends a download link. It does not lock the file.

Questions people ask

Can I sell an ebook without a website?

Yes. Your Stakk store is your website. It lives at stakk.store/yourname, and you can put that link anywhere: your bio, an email, a post.

What file type should my ebook be?

A PDF opens on almost any phone or laptop, so start there. If your readers use e-readers, put an EPUB in the same folder and share the folder link.

Can I give a free chapter away?

Yes. Make a lead magnet: a free download people get in return for their email. It is a simple way to build a list before you launch.
